**The Role**
Genus Industrial are seeking a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager Manager for an upcoming project in Melbourne.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the
**SHEQ Manager **responsibilities will include but not limited:

- Oversee, monitor, evaluate and report on Company SHEQ performance (including leading and lagging indicators, incidents, improvements, workers compensation, budget, expenses etc) against both Company’s and Group’s objectives and targets.
- Participate in project SHEQ activities, including facilitating the development, implementation and review of project Safety Health Environment Management plans (SHEMP), Emergency Response Management Plans (ERMP) and project SHE risk registers (inclusive of any bridging assessments).
- Conduct SHEQ audits to assess compliance with the Company SHEQ Management system, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Identify and suggest opportunities to improve existing work, operations, documentation and processes.

**Essential Skills / Qualifications/Experience**
- Degree (tertiary) qualified in Safety coupled with experience in a similar role.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within construction, mining or resources.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering safety excellence in a similar industry.
- Auditing, ICAM or similar accreditations and extensive experience.

- Possess a strong commitment to behavioural safety and cultural change initiatives.
- Experience in systematic approaches to safety during construction and then commissioning processes.
- Skillful in effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent leadership experience and skills in advising and coaching diverse stakeholder groups.
- Skilled at delivering safety related projects.
- Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word;
- Demonstrated use of Cloud Based Safety Management Systems.
- A good understanding of Injury Management processes.
