**In this role you will**:
Contribute to the development and implement a fit for purpose and robust corporate governance framework and associated strategies, policies, and guidelines which ensure a consistent approach to governance and mitigation of key governance related risks.
Provide support and advice across the organisation to ensure effective governance including working with the business areas to develop and implement governance strategies and managing and resolving corporate governance issues.
Provide regular reporting on governance issues and contribute to issues resolution and development of evaluation mechanisms to monitor rectification progress.
Keep abreast of developments across QCS to ensure adherence to good corporate governance practices, proactively identifying issues and providing advice and support to manage these issues as appropriate.
Evaluate and review QCS corporate systems, frameworks, procedures, and processes to improve governance, facilitate operational excellence and ensure alignment with corporate governance standards.
Provide support, education and training across QCS in order to build corporate governance capability and awareness.
Provide secretarial support, assistance, and corporate governance advice to all relevant QCS governance committees including Board of Management, Executive Leadership Team, Audit and Risk Management Committee, Demand and Resource Committee, and other sub-committees.
Co-ordinate QCS regulatory and governance reporting including monthly and quarterly departmental reporting; client complaints reporting; and regular reporting of progress against the Ministerial Charter Letter and Government Commitments, Service Delivery Statements, Strategic and Business Plans, and Strategic Risk Register.
Contribute to the development and preparation of complex reports and submissions, briefing notes, publications and correspondence for various audiences, including the Minister, Cabinet, Parliament and media.
