**About the role**:
The Pastoral Care Manager leads a team of Pastoral Practitioners at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and Sacred Heart Health Service. The Manager is responsible for offering effective and high quality pastoral and spiritual care to patients and carers. This position also works alongside clinical teams to support and develop an integrated approach to care.

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Qualifications appropriate to the role including Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent
3. Knowledge of the standards of practice for quality pastoral and spiritual care in healthcare contexts
4. Pastoral care experience in a healthcare context, including collaboration with clinical teams
5. Demonstrated capacity to manage pastoral care operations including rosters, ward allocations, recruitment and liaison with Pastoral Educators, students and visiting chaplains
6. Experience providing professional support and development to pastoral practitioners
7. Capacity to lead prayer and reflection
8. Personal commitment to supporting people experiencing poverty and vulnerability
