We are looking for a dedicated **Finance Officer **to join our** Financial Operations Transaction **team and support the financial operations of our University.

In this role, you will be at the heart of Curtin’s financial operations, providing essential support to our faculties and business areas. As the **Finance Officer**, you will support faculties and business areas by overseeing accounts, processing purchase orders, and maintaining financial data. Your expertise will ensure our finance and accounting operations not only run smoothly and efficiently but also align with University policies and procedures. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Transactions**: Accurately process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, foreign currency transactions, credit notes, purchase orders, and more, in accordance with University policies and relevant legislation.
- **Workflow Monitoring**: Oversee electronic workflows related to financial transactions and resolve any issues in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- **Data Maintenance**: Maintain financial support data within our Financial Systems, including user setup, financial master data, selection codes, and cost centre maintenance.
- **Client Support**: Provide guidance to faculties and business areas on financial transactions, Financial Systems, and business processes, and promptly resolve queries from clients, staff, and third parties.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Qualifications and Experience**: Previous experience working in a finance related role. Relevant qualifications in Finance and/or Accounting are desirable.
- **Customer Service Experience: S**trong background in customer service with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- **Finance Knowledge**:Experience and knowledge in finance operations and principles.
- **Computer Literacy**:Proficient in Microsoft Suite and financial systems.
- **Adaptability**: Quick to learn new systems and processes, with a proactive and adaptable approach to work.

**Work Requirements**:

- Must have current work rights in Australia matching the tenure of the role.
- Based in Perth, WA. Relocation and sponsorship support are not available.
