An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to work within a WA State Government department.

**Your new company**
We have partnered with a government department client to assist in their search for an experienced Finance Officer. The role is based in Perth CBD, conveniently located close to public transport. This is a temporary assignment with extension possibilities for the right person past the 3 month mark. We require you to be immediately available and able start as soon as possible.

**Your new role**
As a Finance Officer, you will be assisting the financial operations team and your responsibilities will include:

- High volume, complex account reconciliations
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable processing and coordinating payments
- Maintain debtor and creditor files
- Debt recovery
- Daily banking and cashier duties
- Reporting and preparation of financial documentation
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

**What you'll need to succeed**
Solid experience in a Finance Officer role is essential, as is:

- Strong ability to work with daily complex and high volume reconciliations
- Financial background and involvement in AP/AR management
- Able to think strategically
- Effective communication and fantastic work ethic
