**About the Role**:
We are looking for a Strategic Engagement Manager to join the Enterprise New Verticals team in Australia.

As Strategic Engagement Manager, you will drive the relationship, strategy, execution and growth of our leading merchants in the Convenience, Retail and Pharmacy verticals, across both Australia and New Zealand.

The DoorDash Enterprise team is responsible for the strategic vision, acquisition, and development of the largest businesses in Australia and NZ. Given the scale of our key partners, this role is critical to DoorDash's growth and success in every market in which we operate.

You'll deeply understand our top Convenience, Retail and Pharmacy merchants' needs and develop and deliver an operational game plan to achieve our joint business objectives. You will manage the strategy to drive growth and work cross-functionally with marketing, analytics, operations and product to propel our business forward. You'll unlock strategic business initiatives to grow GOV and work towards quarterly priorities to achieve your goals.

- **Build direct relationships **with C-suite and key stakeholders across our top Convenience, Retail and Pharmacy merchants, ensuring we deliver a best in class partnership and deeply understand their business needs
- **Own the strategic vision **across our New Verticals Convenience, Retail and Pharmacy merchants and ensure we are taking the _right_ actions to hit, and exceed our growth goals
- **Partner cross-functionally** to develop our Convenience, Retail and Pharmacy strategies and build playbooks and best in class operational solutions to solve complex and ambiguous challenges
- **Oversee partner specific opportunities** to deliver operational excellence and growth, such as point of sale integrations, expanding selection while managing inventory, new product adoptions and teaching strong in store operational procedures
- **Unlock co-marketing initiatives **with merchants to increase customer awareness and strengthen customer purchasing behaviors.
- **Use data and insights** to track performance at a merchant level, using insights to identify areas of opportunity, such as search data and add to cart trends.
- **Leverage case studies **of what's worked for similar merchants in Australia, NZ and other markets to build a growth roadmap and lead the merchant to invest in successful growth initiatives
- **Run Quarterly Business Reviews** and lead regular merchant meetings with a focus on key priority actions and performance outcomes
- **Track and report **performance towards quarterly goals and identify areas of opportunity to resolve any challenges and unlock key wins

You have:

- 5+ years' experience in account management, management consulting, project management and/or client success
- Experience working with Enterprise merchants across the Grocery, Liquor, Convenience, Pharmacy and Retail verticals
- Experience leading high impact and time sensitive projects with a cross-functional team - and recent examples to demonstrate this
- Strategic problem solving skills to navigate complex and ambiguous situations - and recent examples to demonstrate this
- Strong analytical ability to track and review performance data and extract key insights
- Knowledge of how to use SQL to create queries and pull data
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Executive presence to engage directly with senior leaders in our partner's business (such as CEO, CFO, CMO, CTO)
- Proactivity and skills to ruthlessly prioritize your time to focus on the greatest ROI
