**We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to fill a casual or part-time position. This role may include some administrative (i.e. scanning) functions.**

**Please keep in mind that as a casual employee, there is no guarantee of ongoing or regular work. As a part-time employee, you will work between 20-25 hours a week.**

Fast paced General Practice in the Inner-West (Your Doctors Randwick) is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist. **Flexibility is essential** **to accommodate the needs of the practice** - availability to work evenings (Approx 6PM finishes), Saturday shift rotations (8:15AM-11:30AM) and cover shifts when staff are sick. Own transport to the practice is required.

**Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8am - 5:30pm and Saturday 8:30-11:30am.**

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Managing a large volume of telephone enquiries and making appointments using specialised software (Best Practice).
- Prioritising telephone and walk in presentations (triage).
- Meeting and greeting patients.
- Billing consultations using Best Practice software. Coordinating various administrative processes that support our clinical team.
- Liaising with medical practitioners, patients and other stakeholders. Clerical duties including data entry, photocopying, faxing, mail, scanning.
- Maintaining the presentation of the surgery.

**Minimum skills, knowledge and experience required for the position**:
The ability to provide excellent customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting. Demonstrated experience in working within an administrative team in a health care setting. Strong computer literacy. Experience with medical software such as Best Practice is advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task. Maintaining confidentiality in all dealings with patient information. Driver’s licence and own transport.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Randwick, NSW 2031: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Medical receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
