In this role some of the duties and responsibilities we'll trust you with include:

- Managing and developing a high performing, service-oriented Venues and Events team focused on the delivery of professional, high quality services to our clients while meeting key financial targets and organisation priorities. This includes planning and overseeing the day-to-day workflows of the team, management of cost centre budgets and monitoring the financial viability of the branch
- Managing annual pricing reviews and debtors to ensure profitability and competitive pricing for venue hire, events and technical production services. Includes obtaining quotations, negotiating pricing and contractual arrangements
- Building and maintaining effective relationships and revenue generating opportunities with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, partners, and new and existing fee-paying clients
- Representing State Library on both internal and external user groups, committees, programs and working groups. This includes promoting State Library's services to external stakeholders to increase usage of venue management and retail services, as well as managing quality outcomes for partnered projects
- Undertaking business improvement activities and adhering to relevant policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure that the branch meets best practice and State Library requirements. This also includes a continuous improvement cycle for feedback, raising concerns and generating solutions
