We have an opening on our Sydney-based team for the position of ANZ Country Manager. The Country Manager is the local business leader for the ANZ business reporting to the Managing Director for the Asia Pacific Region.

**What You’ll Accomplish**

This is an entrepreneurial and general management role that while having a strong focus on sales encompasses all elements of managing the ANZ business. The Country Manager is responsible for leading the entire ANZ business P&L, building and directing the ANZ team, and developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business partners. You will have the opportunity to:

- Develop and implement a profitable growth-focused sales and marketing strategy for the local Australian market that delivers the business’ desired commercial goals.
- Develop effective annual and long-term business plans in line with regional goals and the local pet care market landscape to achieve and support Wellness Pet’s global strategies and local customer priorities, ensuring that they are realistic, and drive a growth-mindset culture, and deliver both top and bottom-line results
- Mentor local sales and marketing teams to achieve their commercial goals and targets, including retail brand building and awareness, optimizing customer revenue and margin requirements, new business development, and sharing and building insights within the market
- Lead and support (in conjunction with the finance, operations, and sales leaders) the monthly and quarterly business revenues, spend forecasts, and demand planning requirements to ensure the business is servicing our customers’ service level expectations
- Connect the local business to the global organization for best practices and support
- Set and communicate team expectations and goals, measure performance results, and provide appropriate training, skill development, and coaching to motivate the ANZ team to deliver market and regional revenue goals
- Manage the ANZ brand portfolio and provide pricing and assortment recommendations to drive sustainable top and bottom-line growth as well as sustain business margins
- Work with our New Zealand distributor to provide the right product portfolio and commercial programs to be successful in the NZ marketplace
- Establish and maintain good business relationships with local direct and indirect customers and be cognizant of their financial strength, challenges, strategic direction, and overall value of the customer to Wellness Pet and the pet care market
- Drive and build an overall business and team culture that fosters an obsession for the local pet care industry, its customers, and consumers
- Be the local director of the Wellness Pet Australian entity and support the finance and operations team with any requirements or actions needed to be compliant with the regulations of the market

- A successful track record in sales or within a sales and marketing role with an FMCG Manufacturer
- Proven general management skills while leading a multifunctional team Bachelor’s degree with strong academic results in relevant fields
- A minimum of 7 years of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or other relevant industry experi
