**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a Business Support Officer - Program Support to be part of our Biosecurity Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The primary purpose of the Business Support Officer - Program Support is to deliver high-level administrative and program support to the PIRSA Biosecurity Division. This role is required to work independently with mínimal supervision and plays a vital role in providing efficient, responsive, and comprehensive financial, administrative, business, and service delivery support across a broad range of functions within the Division. A key focus of this role is to support the Invasive Species Unit to ensure the ongoing, effective and sustainable management of declared pest plants and animals under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019, Fisheries Management Act 2007 and Dog Fence Act 1946.

The role contributes to the delivery of the agency’s priorities by providing timely and essential business support and advice across a range of core PIRSA administrative operations and functions at the Waite site.

The role is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service to a diverse group of stakeholders, including but not limited to Biosecurity and other agency staff, the Dog Fence Board, industry partners, corporate workgroups, and various service providers. The role also provides the first contact point for members of the public, so will not only present a professional, friendly and welcoming environment but is knowledgeable in the operations of the Unit. The Business Support Officer has the key responsibility of ensuring administrative services are delivered efficiently and that high quality stakeholder relationships are maintained.

- Ongoing Opportunity
- Full time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week with duties allocated as follows:

- Invasive Species Unit - 22.5 hours per week (60%)
- Dog Fence Board - 15 hours per week (40%)

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies

**Remuneration**

ASO3 - $67,589 min - $72,033 max per annum, plus superannuation
