Research Services Officer

The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Research Services Officer to be part of our South Australian Research and Development Institute Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive administrative, contract and financial support to the Crop Sciences branch of the SA Research and Development Institute.

This entails processing a high number of raising invoices with due diligence and in a timely manner. Raising Purchase Orders and processing payments, monitoring contract milestones reports, creating new casual staff contracts and processing of fortnightly timesheets, managing documents via Objective. Preparing Agendas and Minutes for Administrative staff meetings, managing vehicle logs and servicing of vehicles, ordering of stationery and office supplies, and general Reception duties.

The Research Services Officer has the key responsibility of ensuring administrative services are managed in a manner that is efficient and at the same time portrays a friendly and professional environment.

Special Conditions

• Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
• Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
• Opportunity up to Janurary 2027.
• Full time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

• Possession of a current driver's licence and willingness to drive.
• Working at other SARDI sites as requested.
• You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations
• National Police Check Certificate.
• The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

Remuneration

ASO2 - $58,709 min - $63,154 max per annum, plus superannuation
