Our client is an Australian-owned company with facilities in NSW and VIC for processing and packaging cheese. They are a premier provider of dairy-based goods, services, and products to the retail, foodservice, and food ingredients industries.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a **Procurement Officer** to join their team in Greenacre.

**Your main responsibilities will include.**
- Purchasing & sourcing ingredients & dairy in a cost effective, timely manner
- Review stock levels in the ingredients stores to maximise business efficiency
- Purchasing a range of additional items & ingredients e.g. cracker, olives, milk powders from suppliers to support production plan
- Liaise with external suppliers in regard to any quality control issues & continuously monitor & improve supplier performance.
- Source new products within the ingredients category & assist with product development
- Follow up on any outstanding claims or credits on suppliers so that they are resolved asap
- Maintain database & ensure purchasing records are up to date & accurate

**Ideally, you will possess.**
- Min 3 years’ experience in a similar role (purchasing or stock control preferably in beverage, FMCG or cheese)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Food, Purchasing or similar
- Strong administration skills
- Microsoft Dynamics experience highly regarded
- Excellent negotiation & problem-solving skills

**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Purchasing: 2 years (preferred)
