THE COMPANY
Established as a business in the 1940s, our client is one of the largest post
tensioning and geotechnical companies in the world.
They have hundreds of people working for them globally. As a company, they
pride themselves on always providing their customers with the expertise and cutting-edge geotechnical technology.
Due to an increase in demand in the region, they are now seeking a technical sales engineer to join their organisation.
THE ROLE
- You will be responsible for winning new projects/business and maintain existing relationships across the Sydney and wider NSW region, with some travel to VIC/SA/QLD.
- Selling post-tensioning systems and products (rockbolts, grouts, injection, mesh, etc) to supplement and support the construction of large civil and commercial construction projects (tunnels, roads, rail, bridges).
- You will be dealing with building contractors on a daily basis.
- Aggressively target competitor spaces to win new relationships and new business. You will be required to be in the company's Bankstown office 2-3 days per week.
- A new business sales position dealing on a daily basis with procurement, owners, site managers, project engineers etc. This is a highly technical position and will see the sales engineer dealing with average deal sizes ranging from $10,000 up to $1million.
- Fully fledged Product Training
- You will be working alongside the Sales Director and the Managing Director.
THE CANDIDATE
- Most Important Thing: A proven track record and background in the building industry from a sales standpoint.
- You may have sold a technical product to civil/infrastructure projects or worked on numerous projects in a technical capacity (applications
engineer, product manager, project engineer, etc) and are now looking to transition into a sales role in a field you know well. - Experience selling to Tier 1-2 Civil, Commercial Builders and/or
Contractors with an understanding of the infrastructure industry would
be hugely advantageous in your application. - If you have the experience and the understanding of selling a technical
product to civil projects dealing with civil/infrastructure builder, this
could be the perfect role for you. - Our client would like someone who understands the technical aspect of
their product and can hit the ground running.
For the right candidate, our client can offer up to 120k base + FMV + Bonus
+ Super.
