- We are going through a large scale optimisation of our Workday suite, and to do this, we need a Workday Specialist in our People Systems team. You will lead initiatives to configure, maintain and resolve issues or defects while partnering with our People team, business leads, external vendors and IT.**About the Team**
- The People Systems team supports the evaluation, implementation, administration, and ongoing innovation of the technology stack across our hire to retire value stream. With Workday as our foundational HRIS, our team are solving some of Canva’s biggest challenges by automating our people processes to allow our employees to do their best work at a place they love.- Join us as our Technical owner for Workday HRIS and ensure best practice business processes and other system dependencies are in place within Workday to support our Canvanauts.**What you'll do**:

- Collaborate with senior leads across Canva on business requirements to maximise Workday through efficient business processed and optimal end user experiences
- Use your comprehensive understanding of the touchpoints between modules and/or connections within Workday across functional areas to make recommendations to automate, streamline, and scale existing processes.
- Design, configure, and support of critical functional areas of Time, Absence, Advance Compensation while continuing broader support of additional core functional areas already deployed
- Manage the setup, configuration data and structures within the functional area in Workday to drive efficiencies, analytics, and processes
- Own semi-annual regression testing and the review and implementation of optional features
- Ensure systems quality and data accuracy via regular audits of data
- Develop and share complex custom reports and calculated fields, maximizing efficiency by reusing existing reports.
- Efficiently resolving Tier 2 Workday related inquiries
- Perform functional centralised transactions, such as business process management, administer security, custom reporting, core setup configuration, general maintenance, organisation management, and EIB data imports.
- Manage the updates for system related guides

**What you bring**:

- Workday HRIS (Core HCM, Absence, On-boarding, Advanced Compensation and security) experience is a must, ideally in house
- Proven success in project management and process improvement
- Shown success working in a global or multi-brand entity and navigating complexity
- Advance knowledge of HR data management and complex reporting writing skills preferred (Workday advance, matrix, and composite reports)
- Solid knowledge of and experience with creating advance custom reports, monitoring, scheduling, troubleshooting integrations and data imports leveraging EIBs
- Ability to lead multiple projects alongside production support activities
