It’s an exciting time to be joining the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team at SA Water. SA Waters ongoing commitment to the safety of their people and the Community will see them expand the HS&W team significantly and enhance the team’s capability, to enable them to continue to deliver on the strategy.

They are a complex, diverse (24/7) organisation that provides an important and essential service to the people of South Australia. The HS&W team partner with the operational teams across South Australia to ensure that services are delivered with the safety of their people and community, always front of mind.

**About the Role**
As the Business Partner for Sustainable Infrastructure, the purpose of your role will be to lead effective partnership with the division. You will be instrumental in the execution of the strategy and direction to prevent harm to our people, effectively minimise H&S risks, promote health, wellbeing and early intervention, and achieve H&S objectives. Some key areas of focus will include:

- Engage, influence and collaborate with partnering organisations and their frontline workforce to identify, develop and implement H&S improvement programs and projects aligned with the H&S team’s strategy
- Provide guidance to ensure framework partners work collaboratively to leverage the collective capability, individual innovations and commitment to harmonised health and safety practice
- Identify leading practice and seek alignment across frameworks and partnering organisations in the spirit of delivering capital together
- Ensure monthly reporting is delivered on time and work to upskill partnering organisations with the provision of relevant safety information
- Ensure Portfolio Managers have timely and accurate information to support informed safety decisions
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of safety improvement plans
- Review High Risk Work activities and report on the usefulness and relevancy of safety information associated with this work; and capture worker feedback to help drive continuous improvement
- Provide work health and safety expertise to minimise the risk profile of assets, their ongoing operations and associated project activities
- Support leading practice in safety investigations and subsequent organisational learnings
- Facilitate Safety in Design workshops to minimise risk design, construction, commissioning, and operational activities
- Seek innovation via safety in design and capture learnings to strengthen overall safety performance
- Develop improved practice in the capturing of lessons learnt and connect to the development of improved technical standards

**About You**

In addition, you will possess:

- Possess strong knowledge of, and be able to interpret relevant Safety legislation, policies and processes
- Tertiary qualification (Diploma or higher) in Occupational Health and Safety
- Have a strong bias for action with the ability to execute effectively
- Be a people-centred person who understands how change is delivered through effective engagement
- Have the ability to build relationships across all stakeholder groups - internal and external
- Bring a lens of what ‘good’ looks like and how this can be brought to life operationally within the business
