Who we're looking for \u00A0
\u00A0
Reporting to the Director, Health and Safety Projects, Global, the position of Specialist, Health and Safety Projects, APAC will lead the design and delivery of the Health and Safety program for Newmont's APAC Projects through the implementation of Enterprise Health and Safety standards and aligned programs to ensure inclusion of Project specific considerations.\u00A0

A key responsibility for the role will be to support the Regional Head, Projects in delivering world class health and safety outcomes for Newmont's APAC mega-project portfolio and to effectively lead APAC Projects Health and Safety teams to achieve Health and Safety objectives. \u00A0

\u00A0
**The ideal applicant will also have**:
\u00A0
- Undergraduate Degree in Occupational Health and/or Safety or equivalent industry experience
- Previous experience in large scale, global mining operations and Project execution\u00A0
- Expert knowledge of best practice Health and Safety systems, standards and processes including regulatory and compliance requirements
- Confidence to provide expert Health and Safety advisory across multi-level stakeholders including Strategic Leadership and multi-disciplinary on-site technical teams
- Demonstrated team leadership experience including direct and indirect reports and external delivery partner providers
- Proficient skills in SAP and Ariba and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The role will be offered on a flexible hybrid/work from home basis. \u00A0It is anticipated you will be a seasoned professional accustomed to working from home while utilising the Newmont capital city office hub in Brisbane when required to be effective in your role. \u00A0\u00A0
