**Your Role**:
There is no typical working week at Flybuys. But here are some of the things you might be working on, day-to-day;
- Define strategic vision for the data platform and articulate its value proposition for Flybuys, then communicate this information to relevant stakeholders
- Manage the delivery roadmap for the data platform, with consistent communication regarding the release of new data assets and capability to ensure stakeholders remain updated, engaged and excited by our vision for the future
- Deliver the data assets that support our business, with focus on the need for a source of truth, single customer view, intelligent automation to drive efficiencies, self-service capabilities and delivery speed for data products
- Proactively work with the Leadership Team and various department heads across the business to provide data sources and systems required to achieve strategic objectives
- Design and implement strategies for new data acquisition (structured and unstructured data) and further data enrichment opportunities, as required to support product development and future innovation
- Collaborate to deliver data governance solutions that ensure secure access to data, automated monitoring of data quality and documentation to enable efficient use of data
- Ensure provision of the infrastructure and tools necessary to deliver the data platform and various data products developed across the business
- Lead the team responsible for delivering the Flybuys data platform, ensuring team priorities are aligned to overarching business objectives
- Drive the development and implementation of data best practices, with new methodology, processes and data assets to improve delivery of the data platform and data products
- Help to create business value through the utilisation of data assets, sophisticated analytics, data products and actionable insights
- Support the build and operationalisation of new data products
- Help identify and deliver data initiatives that drive competitive advantage, internal efficiencies and ROI for the business
- Guide the delivery of data platform initiatives, with adherence to release schedules and stakeholder expectations
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
- Actively look for ways to improve the efficiency and quality of team processes and deliverables
- Communicate clearly and effectively with delivery teams, which can consist of delivery leads, solution architects, data engineers, business analysts, QA testers, data analysts and data scientist

**Your Experience**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in data, technology, computer science or business
- Commercial acumen, enterprise-oriented mindset and desire to deliver business value
- Curious, innovative thinker who can translate ideas into practical solutions
- A sharp data, technology and business mind with proven ability to develop and then execute data strategies
- Extensive experience leading data teams, along with experience working as either data architect, data engineer, data analyst, data scientist, product owner or other relevant role
- Extensive experience delivering a modern data platform for a data-led organisation, with working knowledge of the design and delivery of a data ecosystem that includes a data lake, data warehouse, reporting data layers, data marts and feature stores
- Understand the many dimensions of data collected in the online and offline environments, with in-depth knowledge of how to bring such datasets together in an effective manner
- Experience delivering a DataOps system that provides the enterprise-standard approach (tools, processes and technical patterns) to building and operating data assets within the data platform, with working knowledge of the required ELT, CI/CD, orchestration and scheduling, governance and change control, environment management and automated testing and monitoring
