**Team Summary**:
Merchant Sales and Acquiring team drive growth in the acceptance of Visa payment products via relationships with prominent, selected key merchant clients and acquirers - specifically via business development and sales efforts aimed at ensuring transaction and payment volume growth and the development of Visa’s brand, reputation and business presence. The team is also responsible for understanding and communicating local market needs in order to effectively and efficiently define market specific strategies to support the Australia team to develop card acceptance capabilities and provide merchant solutions to meet the evolving payments ecosystem.
The solutions and Enablement function is responsible for the local development and implementation of Merchant Sales and Acquiring programs, acceptance products and services and business performance and MIS support for the team.
**What a Commercial Manager
- Solutions and Enablement does at Visa**:
The individual will be responsible for developing and overseeing a smooth and efficient process that will enable the MSA team to sign new agreements as well as renew existing partnerships. The role will involve managing a team of analysts dedicated in providing operational, analytical, and administrative support to Account Executives tasked in signing a pipeline of Merchants and Acquirers that Visa aims to partner or continue to partner with.
**Responsibilities**:
- Development and preparation of accurate and consistent deal proposals for Merchant and Acquirer prospects.
- Oversee the pipeline of Merchant and Acquirer prospects and identify new opportunities.
- Partner with Program Managers and Account Executives in ensuring successful strategy execution. Identify risks and opportunities to the strategy and propose mitigating solutions.
- Manage the approval process for partnership and deal proposals and enable Account Executives to proceed with Merchant and Acquirer negotiations.
- Work with Account Executives and Merchants and Acquirers during the contract management process and assist in signing, sealing, and delivering partnership agreements.
- Manage the commercial operations cadence by leading Commercial Analysts under direct supervision.
- Monitor portfolio of Merchants and Acquirers and ensure timely renewal of partnership agreements.
- Deliver on new tasks, projects and initiatives that may be assigned from time-to-time.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
**Qualifications**:
What you will need:
- 5+ years’ experience and demonstrated success in similar roles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong bias for action.
- Experience in merchant acquiring or payments Industry, understanding of the four party payments ecosystem and respective roles and responsibilities of each participant.
- Excellent verbal and written skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business issues and solutions to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and a savvy business acumen.
- Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills. Project management experience will be highly regarded.
- Confidence and ability to influence and negotiate across all levels within the organization.
- Tertiary qualified is strongly preferred.
