About the Role
As an Associate Director in the Institutional Property Group (“IPG”) Research & Analysis (“R&A”) team, you will build collaborative relationships with Relationship Managers, Credit Executives, Product Partners, and Client Services to complete the broader credit assessment function, negotiate transactions, and ensure an optimal ‘well managed’ portfolio. Through building these relationships, you will help our customers’ needs by providing inspired solutions, as well as supporting the needs of the business. Improve/maintain high quality credit assessment standards, appraisals and submissions through the active management, coaching and development of the R&A team. What will your day look like?
R&A is primarily responsible for identifying and effectively managing risks inherent in the client's business model and industry. R&A is also responsible for identifying and managing risks inherent in the client’s capital and management structure, and emerging performance results.
The role will provide direct exposure to a portfolio of IPG clients across the property industry; including the Office, Industrial, Retail, Hotel, and Residential sectors. IPG has a large pipeline of new transactions, and the role offers exposure to both investment loan and development loan structures.
**The primary activities of the role include**:

- Identifying and managing risks inherent in the client’s capital and management structure, as well as financial results.
- Client/asset/project performance & risk evaluation & mitigation strategies.
- Prepare quality credit papers.
- Conduct financial analysis and industry research.
- Risk grade event management.
- Liaise with clients and Credit Executives on risk and financial performance related matters, including covenant compliance and risk grade review events.
- Deal documentation.
- Well Managed portfolio controls.
- Direct contact and communication with clients.

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

- Extensive experience in Banking/Finance.
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics.
- Ability to structure effectively and negotiate complex financing alternatives. Excellent client handling, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated ability in succeeding through collaboration.
- People management and leadership.
- In depth knowledge of a broad range of products and services. Demonstrates abilities to structure/tailor value added innovative financial solutions.
- Ability to identify key business drivers and mitigate key risks and provide recommendations based on these across multiple complex corporate entities.
