- **Human Resources Officer** to join our outstanding People, Culture and Diversity team based at our support office in Hawthorn East. This is a PERFECT opportunity for an ambitious, driven HR professional who is wanting to develop their foundational HR skills, while getting exposure to all facets of HR to set them up for success as a true generalist.
- The HR team works in a business partnering model. The HR Officers will provide support and general advice for all HR queries within their aligned portfolio and when required, to the wider organisation. HR Officers report to HR Business Partners who will provide support, guidance and regular supervision.
- Working closely with our HR Business Partners, you will also contribute to providing a high level of HR support to our stakeholders across a variety of generalist aspects. At Benetas, we are dedicated to developing our teams professionally, and we are looking for an employee that will embrace new challenges within a rapidly expanding industry. **Your day to day activities include**:
- Ensure the timely management of the HR helpdesk in line with the service level agreements (SLAs) to meet the clients’ needs and expectations
- Be the first point of contact for general HR queries and provide advice based on legislation, industrial instruments, policies and procedures within their scope and escalate issues to the HR Business Partner with sound discretion
- Provide exceptional customer experience by anticipating stakeholders’ HR related needs, support strategic projects and promote proactive people performance guidance that results in a positive culture
- Perform HR administration responsibilities including employee record management, contract generation, onboarding and offboarding
- Support the Talent Acquisition team through providing advise on the process and with recruitment initiatives
- Contribute to the development and innovation of the HR team
- Identify and develop process improvements
- Ensure compliance against relevant quality standards and indicators and Benetas requirements
- Travel to residential sites and other Benetas' facilities to provide onsite support on HR related enquiries and activities
**To thrive in the role you will need**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology or related field
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Experience in HR generalist background and able to deliver services spanning the employee life-cycle
- Capacity to understand business needs and contemporary workforce challenges and issues
- Experience in recruitment, volunteer administration, HR information management and reporting
- Exemplary organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to map processes, identify and implement process improvements
- Experience contributing to projects and providing administrative support
- Experience and competence using a HRIS to manage employee, volunteer and HR information, desirable
