Programmed have exciting opportunities in Gold Coast QLD for Civil Construction Traineeships specialising in Bridge Construction & Roadmarking.

PROGRAMMED Training Services specialise in the employment of Apprentices and Trainees with our clients and the design and delivery of nationally accredited training.

Programmed have multiple paid fulltime traineeship opportunities located on Gold Coast in Bridge Construction and Maintenance and/or Roadmarking. The traineeship will see you study/obtain a Certificate III in Civil Construction being either Structures or Roadmarking pathway. On the job training is provided to support you throughout the traineeship to see you succeed in the construction industry.

Excellent above award pay rate with overtime penalty rates. 3 years fulltime employment with the potential for ongoing employment once completion of traineeship.

Throughout the traineeship you will be hosted with a major Civil Construction company, RoadTek whom provide excellent mentoring, training and encourages teamwork and innovation within their business. RoadTek provides transport infrastructure solutions throughout Queensland as a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).

**Undertaking a traineeship in either Bridge construction and Maintenance or Roadmarking you will learn, but not limited to, the following**:

- Concrete bridge construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance
- Steel bridge rehabilitation and maintenance
- Timber bridge rehabilitation and maintenance
- General servicing of structures and surrounds
- Bridge Inspections
- Carry out measurements and calculations
- Read, interpret plans & specification
- Conduct ride on road marking operations
- Conduct long line road marking operations
- Conduct thermo plastic road marking operations
- Conduct pedestrian road marking operations
- Conduct road marking measuring operations
- Control the work methods to ensure that construction work is carried out in an efficient and compliant manner
- Ongoing coaching, mentoring and support to complete a Nationally recognised qualification - Certificate III in Civil Construction - Structures/Bridges RII30920 or Roadmarking RII30920

**Mandatory Requirements**
- OHS Construction White Card essential prior to commencement
- Current Drivers Licence and reliable transport
- Flexible to work day shift and nightshift
- Strong commitment to complete Traineeship
- Must be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative

**Other Requirements**
- Passion for 'hands on work' and a genuine desire to work in the construction industry
- General labouring experience an advantage
- Motivated and willing to learn with a positive self-starter attitude
- Competent numeracy & literacy skills with Year 10 High school certificate
- Proven experience working within a team environment
- Commitment to complete theory/written and practical components of the qualification
