Product Development Manager

**About the role**

As a Product Development Manager for our Selleys Team in Padstow,** **you will lead our Formulation Team in developing products and delivery solutions, from concept to commercialisation through the implementation of suitable technologies and raw materials to deliver demonstrable performance benefits for consumers.

Reporting to the Global R&D Director, this role will also play a major part in project planning that follows and will guide, train and coach project teams and engage with others internally and externally to deliver impactful innovations that are commercially & operationally viable.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead our Formulation team to deliver in-full and on-time innovation, renovation, and operational projects.
- Work closely with marketing and procurement to commercialise new and compliant formulations and technologies in accordance to the Selleys NPD plan.
- Developing strong technical, statistical and formulation science capabilities within the team.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Production sites to ensure our products consistently meet end user performance and quality.
- Communicating effectively both internally and externally.

**Skills & Experience**
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities to motivate others toward clear objectives.
- Formal qualifications in an area of Chemistry, Applied Science, or a closely related field.
- Previous hands-on bench industrial experience in the sealants & adhesives, coatings, or related industry.
- Proven track record of successful new product development.
- A depth of knowledge and experience in product development and innovation management.
- Innovation skills evident as risk taking, result seeking and idea integration.
- Experience with/knowledge of statistical experimental design (DoE) would be well regarded.
