What does the Forensic Intervention Services team do?
Corrections Victoria is part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety and is responsible for the operation of Victoria's adult corrections system, public and privately operated prisons, and a transitional centre. It ensures that people held in prison are safely and securely contained and aims to rehabilitate people by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
As a division of Corrections Victoria, Forensic Intervention Services is a specialist program area within Offender Services that provides people in custody and in the community with evidence-based offence-specific screening, assessment and interventions to support their rehabilitation. In doing so, Forensic Intervention Services is a critical component of the Department's strategy to reduce reoffending and contribute to community safety.
The Support Services area manages the day-to-day operations of Forensic Intervention Services, and provides a range of corporate services, including:
- Coordinating the human resources and recruitment activities of the business unit
- Coordinating the business unit's financial processing and budget functions
- Coordinating all business correspondence
- Supervising the administrative functions and physical facilities and resources of the business unit.
What will the Administrator, Support Services do?
The Administrator, Support Services, is responsible for the efficient delivery of administration, operational support, and reception services in a team environment. The role requires the coordination and assurance that the Forensic Intervention Services reception is sufficiently resourced by the Support Officers, Support Services. The Administrator, Support Services also acts an escalation point to resolve operational support and client customer service delivery issues.
What skills should the Administrator, Support Services have?
- Will have demonstrated experience within a high-volume administrative environment and the use of administrative office systems, databases, policies, and processes.
- Will have experience in providing incident management support and overseeing the management of the physical assets of a business unit, including coordination of access to contractors and visitors to the workplace.
- The ability to monitor service delivery standards, identify emerging service delivery trends and issues, and recommend appropriate and timely solutions to these issues.
- You will also have excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce a range of complex business correspondence and reports presenting clear, factual, and pertinent information based on knowledge, research, and analysis.

- There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, however qualifications in a relevant discipline would be highly desirable.
