**The YMCA Marketing Office**, located on 101 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, supports our centres across Brisbane and Queensland through a number of services, including Finance, Accounts, Work, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Information Communications Technology (ICT) and Marketing.

As the YMCA is a vibrant and growing community organisation, we are seeking to expand our **Marketing Team to support our growth.**

We are recruiting a **Marketing Assistant** on a **Full time basis** to join our team based in **Fortitude Valley, QLD.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This position will work collaboratively within the YMCA Marketing and Events team and provide support to other marketing team members. This position will assist in ensuring that the company brand is presented consistently, campaigns are delivered to deadline, as well as complete administration and project work, as required.

In addition to the above, responsibilities of a **Marketing Assistant** include (but not limited to):

- Assist in the design, creation and rollout of content across multiple social media sites, web, video and traditional PR channels
- Write targeted content for websites and blogs and other types of marketing and or promotional material Assist with planning, developing and delivering of digital strategies that build brand awareness
- Create content for social media channels
- Work effectively as a part of a team to ensure efficient and effective processes are identified, initiated and undertaken
- Keep abreast of industry trends and compelling marketing campaigns
- Ensure effective communication to a diverse audience including members, staff, volunteers, partners, government, general public, industry bodies and suppliers, choosing appropriate communication channels including social media platforms

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of graphic design and mutli-media experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated results orientation, sound judgment and problem-solving ability
- Strong organisational and time management skills
