The Meehan Tennis Academy is based out of the 9 court Hoppers Crossing Tennis Club. We have a team of highly qualified and experienced coaches who deliver lessons at several locations across the West of Melbourne; from the Hot Shots beginner level through to performance players.

Our performance programs are expanding in 2025 so we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our coaching team. This position is for a Sports Development Officer who is able to work alongside Ryan Meehan (TA Performance Qualified coach) to plan and deliver our performance program to junior players; ranging from orange ball through to international level, working in both squad and private lessons. The Sports Development Officer will be provided with paid planning time each week and will have the opportunity to attend tournaments with players.

The successful applicant must have:

- Tennis coaching qualification (TA Development, ITF Level 1 or equivalent)
- A relevant qualification in sports, physical education or a related field - Diploma or Degree in Sports: Assessed as comparable to the educational level of an Australian Qualification Framework (preferred but not essential)
- Tennis Australia coach membership (or appropriate alternative)
- Previous tennis coaching experience
- Experience in sports coaching, sports development, or event management, preferably tennis
- Strong organisational skills and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple programs and events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with coaches, athletes, schools and community organisations.
- Working with children check
- National police check

Employee Benefits:

- Wages will be based on experience and will be in the range of: Full time $60,000-75,000 (or Part-time equivalent) with paid annual leave and sick leave. Casual Rate $45-55/hr.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
