Your role as Principal Infrastructure Specialist will include the effective management of QRA's Microsoft based platforms, underlying configuration, and associated processes, using your knowledge and problem-solving capabilities to ensure stability and availability of these services.
- Advanced level of expertise and experience in managing and maintaining:

- Microsoft Active Directory Domain Administration
- Microsoft Azure Active Directory (including hybrid sync)
- Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems 2012 R2 onward
- Microsoft Exchange Hybrid Deployment with Exchange Online
- Microsoft Direct Access deployment and configuration
- Microsoft ADFS and Azure Enterprise Applications (SSO)
- Microsoft Update Platforms (WSUS or SCCM)
- System Monitoring, metric collection, and reporting
- Knowledge of, or experience with, the following would also be highly desirable:

- Cloud compute including serverless services (AWS and Azure)
- Coding and scripting (intermediate understanding of PowerShell)
- Security best practices and management, including but not limited to,
- Application Whitelisting (VMWare Carbon Black)
- Anti-Malware Products, Configuration and Reporting
- Encryption and Certificates
- Principle of Least Privilege (POLP)
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

**In this role you use your technical skills to**:

- Support the implementation of QRA's approach to management of its key cloud-based ICT infrastructure and systems.
- Support the management of all systems across the QRA platform, providing specialist advice and troubleshooting where the system is in error or does not meet business requirements.
- Support management of QRA's Microsoft Windows based server fleet, building a working familiarity with all systems to assist in monitoring integrity and adapting structure to respond to the organisation's evolving business requirements.
- Undertake daily testing and monitoring of QRA's key ICT infrastructure and systems, ensuring ongoing health and integrity.
- Provide advice on the establishment of standards, policies and processes for ICT infrastructure and systems by drawing on own systems knowledge and adapting precedents where required.
