Our client, Department of Education, are currently seeking a Principal Infrastructure Services Officer - Maintenance and Improvement reports for an initial contract until 30/06/2025.

This position will play a leading role in managing the roll out of school maintenance plans and the analysis of information in the plans and the development of strategies for the improvement of maintenance programs.

This role may involve some intrastate travel.

**Qualifications and experience**

Although not mandatory, prior industry experience in public service or working with infrastructure is beneficial. Additional experience in program management and strategic planning is advantageous.

**The Principal Infrastructure Services Officer - Maintenance and Improvement, will be accountable for and lead duties associated with the role that include**:

- Analyse data from the Asset Life Cycle Assessment process and the school maintenance plans to develop long-term strategies for investment in maintenance
- Develop training manuals and guides to facilitate the roll out of school maintenance plans
- Provide ongoing support for the roll out of school maintenance plans
- Monitor, analyse, and evaluate maintenance programs to identify and drive improvements that ensure the ongoing quality of the Division's maintenance work.

- Effectively analyse data to identify key risks, opportunities, strengths and support the development of strategies to mitigate the impact of these.
- Drive the relationship with our major service delivery partner, QBuild, to ensure quality, timely and value for money outcomes.
- Develop and sustain productive working relationships with key stakeholder groups, including regional infrastructure teams, schools, and QBuild, Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works.
- Provide strategic advice to key internal stakeholders on the Division's maintenance programs and processes.
- Prepare Ministerial, Parliamentary and corporate correspondence and report on the progress of maintenance programs.
- Provide advice and guidance to other staff and support the work of team members by providing mentoring and training opportunities.
- Contribute to a positive team culture, which emphasises learning and development, innovation, engagement and quality outcomes.

- Asset Life Cycle Assessments
- School Maintenance Plans
- Allocation of Maintenance Funds

This hourly rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.
