About the role*
The role of the Centre Based Respite (CBR) Support Worker is to assist in the running of Mary Potter House (MPH). MPH provides Centre Based Respite and Social Support activities to older people living with moderate to advanced dementia.

The role is responsible for delivering high quality of care and support to the clients by providing practical assistance, personal care, supervision and participating in all recreational activities ensuring clients are safe, engaged and always supported.

This role may require the provision of individual support to clients including in home visits, social outings, shopping, personal hygiene, domestic assistance, respite, and escorted transport.

Several part-time positions available.
- Stimulate clients’ engagement and participation in group conversations and activities
- Provide aid and support to clients to allow them to function more safely and independently
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and other functional needs
- Submit accurate client notes in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with the team to monitor and report changes/concerns regarding clients and identify new opportunities to service client needs
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ functional abilities
- Maintain an understanding of client needs and use this knowledge when implementing recreational, social and/or educational activities for clients
- Provide Home Care Services during the suspension of groups. Home Care Services include domestic assistance, personal care and individual social support

**About You**
- You have minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role working with people who are frail, aged or have a disability
- You hold minimum Certificate 3 in Individualised Support/Aged Care or equivalent
- You have demonstrated experiences in working with vulnerable people, frail aged or people with a disability
- You have a sound understanding of Work Health & Safety standards
- You have a strong understanding of the New Aged Care Quality Standards
