The Role: As a Disability Support Worker at NDMHS, you’ll provide a variety of flexible support services to people with physical, intellectual, and mental health challenges. Your goal will be to empower individuals, helping them live more independent and fulfilling lives. Key Responsibilities Include: - Supporting NDIS participants with physical and mental health needs, including those with challenging behaviours. - Assisting with daily living activities, community engagement, and promoting independence. - Delivering personal care and other services, tailored to each participant's individual needs. What We’re Looking For: - Motivation and passion for supporting individuals with disabilities. - Positive attitude and a professional approach to care. - Ability to work under general guidance within defined guidelines. Must-Have Requirements: - Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or Individual Support. - Current First Aid & CPR Certification (or willing to obtain) - NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain) - Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle. - Manual Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain) Qualities We Value: - Strong communication skills: both written and verbal. - Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service. - Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a team.
