**The Role**
As the Trade and Distribution Manager, reporting directly to Head of Trade and Group Sales, your role will be to proactively acquire, and account manage existing wholesale, trade and distribution channel relationships across our vast portfolio of properties.
You will focus on proactively engaging with key clients who produce bookings in line with our strategy to achieve your targets. You will have a direct report who will provide group coordination of trade business, and together you will create an end-to-end seamless guest experience for our travel trade market.
**Key Responsibilities Include**
- Proactively engage wholesale and trade suppliers
- Identify new sales opportunities and leverage existing connections
- Manage each States Tourism Organisation Inbound/trade representative to achieve maximum sales and opportunities
- Manage relationship with OTA’s and distribution channels to identify campaigns and sales opportunities
- In conjunction with Manager write annual Wholesale and Trade Strategy for Senior Leadership Team approval
- Prepare and execute monthly, quarterly and annual proactive Sales Action Plan
- Attend industry networking and tradeshows where required
- Proactively manage the sales pipeline
- Lead and support Groups Coordinator
- Conduct familiarisation tours
- Ensure all enquiries are responded to within a 24hour period
- Cross sell across all parks and lodges
- Compile and provide reports on monthly sales activities
**About you**
- 3+ years’ experience in Travel/ Tourism wholesale and trade sales roles
- Proven experience in a similar role in the accommodation sector is preferred, along with the ability to bring your own existing relationships.
- A track record of lead generation and building business across managed accounts
- Well developed sales skills, effective influencing and negotiation skills
- Experience in dealing with key stakeholders at many levels of an organisation and building relationships
- Experiencing leading and managing people
- Proactive professional with outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Results orientated with the ability to demonstrate a history of exceeding targets, new idea creation and industry best practice
- Working knowledge of a trade partner booking system, Ivvy or/and Newbook would be preferable
- Enjoy working as part of team but can remain focused while working autonomously
- Affinity with the NRMA Parks and Resorts culture and holiday park industry
You will demonstrate a flexible attitude to work, be available to travel regularly within Australia to our Parks and Resorts, and have the passion to work as part of a close team who are hands on, confident and have a passion for delivering the highest level of customer service.
