**Trades Assistant - Sheet Metal Workshop**

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding family owned and operated company that you can be proud to be a part of. Our company specializes in the manufacture, supply & distribution of high quality industrial products.

**Your key responsibilities in this role is to perform including but not limited to**:

- Pressbrake operation, folding sheet metal parts
- Assembly of components/ panels.
- Receive and dispatch incoming and outgoing freight.
- Liaising with freight companies, staff and customers.
- Sorting and storing incoming deliveries.
- Picking up orders from suppliers.
- Monitoring stock levels of frequently used materials, ensuring they are stored in an organised fashion.
- Keeping the workshop tidy.
- Empty bins and monitor waste, general and recycling.
- Picking parts for job tubs,

**Essential Criteria**:

- Current drivers licence and reliable means of transport.
- Possess high attention to detail.
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Be punctual and reliable
- Have a safety-first approach to their job.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Forklift licenses an advantage.
- Previous experience in a trades assistant role within a fabrication workshop or similar.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular on site fit for work drug and alcohol testing.
- Be skilled in the use of Hand Tools.
- Have ‘Metal Industry’ knowledge
- Work overtime when required.
- Be able to read drawings & follow instructions

**Salary**: $22.61 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
