Our client is a government owned utility organisation based in **Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.** Is looking for an experienced **Data Analyst** to their currently undertaking of a massive technology transformation across their organisation and are currently looking for a Data Analyst to join their team on a contract basis for **6 months plus extensions.** You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that high quality and reliable data is being used to uplift data driven decision-making. This will also include reviewing data repository across many systems including the client's edocs management system.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Driving data privacy and understand what data is sensitive that is being used on the current system.
via data assessing current state of current azure data solution and using PowerBI as the reporting tool.
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand business requirements, defining analytical requirements and delivering solutions;
- Preparing and presenting draft solutions and Providing specialist analysis on the client's edcos management system.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you have:

- Demonstrated technical experience within a similar role working at an enterprise level;
- Good skills in SQL programming and ETL.
- Experience assessing current state of current azure data solution.
- Experience using PowerBI as a reporting tool
- Strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in data governance, data management and data quality;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as a liaison between tech and non-tech stakeholders;
- Strong relationship building and influential skills to promote the data governance agenda
- Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking coupled with a results driven attitude.
