**Physiotherapy Assistant** - Permanent Part-Time/Casual Opportunity_ **North Shore Private Hospital** is seeking a motivated and positive team player to join our Physiotherapy team as a **Physiotherapy Assistant** **About the Role** As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will be responsible for facilitating the effective and efficient operation of the Physiotherapy department through both clinical and non-clinical duties. This will include assisting Physiotherapists in the treatment of patients, with the goals of achieving patient-centred outcomes and improved functional capacity. Your role will involve but is not limited to. - Undertaking non-treatment activities as required such as: preparing and escorting patients for therapy, preparing equipment required for treatment, assisting the physiotherapist in joint therapy sessions, set up and dismantling of group therapy areas/equipment; data collection and entry. - Under the specific instruction of a Physiotherapist, supervise the practice of established exercise programs, including walking, muscle strengthening and balance exercises. - Maintaining all professional and safety standards when dealing with patients ensuring care is consistent with best possible quality care provision **About You** To be successful in this role, you will bring a patient-first attitude with a desire to assist our team in achieving the best possible outcomes for our patients. The ability to communicate effectively both with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to work effectively as a part of a professional and multidisciplinary team is key to this role. Essential Criteria: - Demonstrated ability to work under the supervision of a Physiotherapist to deliver individual and group exercise therapy sessions - Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment to efficiently manage workload demands and priorities - Proven ability to communicate effectively both within a health care team and with a wide range of patients/consumers - Demonstrated ability to work within professional and safety standards and identify and escalate risks **About Ramsay** North Shore Private Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Healthcare a modern, acute care hospital in Sydney with a longstanding reputation for excellence in patient care.
