ABOUT THE ROLE

A wonderful opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our team in our well-appointed and renown residential aged care home located in Pendle Hill, NSW.

You will be looking after a varied case load, ensuring the residents remain as active as possible and as pain-free as possible with your therapy.

HOURS AND DAYS

  • Full time role or Part time role
  • 3 days (Mon, Wed and Thurs (24 hours/week)) or 5 days a week (40 hours/week)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and care plans
  • Implementing professional physiotherapy and pain management services
  • Providing exercise plans and falls prevention program
  • Prescribing mobility and functional equipment
  • Participating in professional development and staff education
  • Exercising residents in classes and purpose-built rehab gym
  • Assist facility to transition from ACFI to AN-ACC with introduction of restorative care

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in aged care advantageous (new grads will be supported by our mentorship assistance)
  • New graduates are welcome to apply for this position
  • Sound clinical decision making
  • Sound with exercise prescription
  • Experience with pain management modalities and treatment
  • Can work independently and in multi-disciplinary environment
  • Familiar with manual handling equipment
  • Computer literate
  • Good documentation

  • Likeable personality with good work ethics
  • Recognized Physiotherapy qualification and current registration with AHPRA (full registration)
  • Current police clearance
  • Your own means of transport

  • COVID safe practices
  • Permanent residency or Australian citizenship is required for this position
