Do you have experience with children and a passion for working with children with Developmental Disabilities? We have an exciting opportunity for a Therapy Assistant to join our friendly and driven multidisciplinary team. Aask Therapy is an innovative and busy mobile therapy service in Sydney.

The Therapy Assistant will be an integral part of the Aask Therapy team. The role involves:

- Implementing fun and effective Physiotherapy sessions under the supervision of Physiotherapist
- Support the team in administering formal and informal communication
- Supporting the children to use their communication devices (AAC) in everyday situations (play, mealtimes, transitions etc)
- Implement evidence-based literacy programs under the supervision of the Physiotherapist
- Working in the community.
- Prepare and create therapy resources.

We are looking for the following from our Therapy Assistant (Physiotherapy):

- Certificate 4 Allied Health Assistant - Physiotherapy
- A Physiotherapy student in their 4th year or in second year of Masters are welcome to apply.
- Current Practicing Member of Physiotherapy Australia
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children/disability or other health related experience.
- Overseas graduates welcome to apply.
- Experience in working with children with additional needs
- Experience/ strong interest in AAC, feeding, Developmental Disabilities and/or literacy
- An understanding of Positive Behavior Support.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

**Salary**: $30.00 per hour plus $30 for travel allowance will be paid

**Job Type**: Subcontract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
