**The Role**
Reporting to the Director (Planning and Performance) the Assistant Director will lead a small team and manage all aspects of the JSA Project Management Office (PMO) to support the successful delivery of projects undertaken in JSA to help Australia meet its present and future skills needs.

This is a perfect opportunity for applicants who have excellent management and leadership capability and the ability to provide high level operational and strategic advice and guidance on best practice project management approaches, tailored to individual projects.

As Assistant Director you will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to drive and embed effective project outcomes and enhance the JSA Project Management Framework.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the Assistant Director may include:

- Leading the day-to-day operations of the JSA Project Management Office and providing leadership to a small professional team.
- Guiding the successful delivery of projects by providing high level advice and support to project teams and executives.
- Preparing project reports and Senate/Ministerial Briefs for executive approval and presenting project related information to various audiences.
- Working collaboratively with staff and stakeholders to ensure the continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.
- Continuing to develop and deliver on the JSA Project Management Framework to provide staff with guidance and tools throughout the project management lifecycle.
- Playing a key role in growing project management capability across JSA to drive better project outcomes.

**Qualifications and Education**
- Qualifications and/or experience relevant to the role will be highly regarded.
