**About the Opportunity**

Operating within the Utilities department, you will lead a team of project, maintenance and technical officers to deliver the Utilities capital works and maintenance program across the Western Downs Region.

**This position can be based at any of our major regional centres (Dalby/Chinchilla/Tara/Miles and Wandoan).**

You will be:

- Working with the Utilities Manager to develop and deliver the Utilities (water, sewerage and gas) Capital and Maintenance Program within budget and on schedule;
- Managing the development of appropriate strategic direction and planning for the Utilities Capital and Maintenance Program consistent with achieving the outcomes contained in Council's Corporate, Division and Operational Plans;
- Overseeing the delivery of various capital, operational and maintenance projects and activities to ensure a high level of performance in relation to time, cost and quality.
- Identifying and managing risks associated with the Utilities Capital and Maintenance Program, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

This role is full time, working 38 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO.

**About yourself**
- Current C Class Drivers License
- OH&S Construction White Card
- Industry qualification in production planning and or project management desired

- Utilities Operations Retention Payment - $1,500.00 _(conditions apply)_
