**The Role**

Most of the 350 staff are based in Adelaide, South Australia and Brisbane, Queensland. The Contact Centres Branch provides support to job seekers participating in the Australian Government’s employment services, either through a contracted provider or the Government’s online employment servicing platform.
- receiving complaints about employment services and the government’s policies
- providing information and technical support
- helping participants to understand and manage their mutual obligation requirements
- undertaking transfers and referrals to activities, non-vocational or complementary services
- making employment funding purchases

**Duties and Responsibilities**
The successful applicant will directly support our clients and staff in times of crisis and high anxiety and work with the Branch Consultative Committee to identify ways to improve wellbeing.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Contact Centre Business Support, the Wellbeing Officer is responsible for:

- Conducting assessments to identify the wellbeing needs and challenges within the Contact Centres Branch.
- Creating and implementing wellbeing programs and initiatives tailored to the specific needs of the branch.
- Providing education and awareness about wellbeing issues and equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools to improve their wellbeing.
- Offering one-on-one support for individuals facing wellbeing issues, such as stress, anxiety or lifestyle related concerns.
- Actively promoting wellbeing initiatives through various channels such as newsletters, leadership meetings, workshops, bulletins and Knowledge Based Articles.
- Gathering data to assess the effectiveness of wellbeing activities and programs and making data driven recommendations for improvements

**Qualifications and Education**
- Essential
- Tertiary level qualification in Psychology, Social Work or other related discipline, and/or 2-3 years’ professional experience in a similar or transferrable field.
