The Coordinator Operations Management position provides support and development in business efficiencies within the Operations and Waste Services, through active engagement you will lead a team focusing on long term sustainability, while meeting organisational and Council service level obligations and visions.

**About the Role**
This position provides effective operational management leadership to support and enable operational team capacity and essential service capability, strategy and engagement, customer & operations assurance and emergency management coordination.

To effectively deliver community benefit, the position delivers the key objectives are to:

- To effectively lead and manage the provision of excellent operational management practices including customer, strategic services and contract support, and compliance systems to support service delivery during business-as-usual operations and response to emergencies
- To enable a consistent and efficient approach to operations management and better oversight of performance and ability to be a key driver of readiness for an ERP.
- To lead others in high performance, capability and collaboration in operations management assurance to deliver Council and community objectives

**Skills & Experience**
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field with experience in professional areas such as operational management, business improvement and/or systems that drive capability and performance, compliance and assurance management.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in management including financial monitoring, budgeting and team building.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements through better processes, practices, systems and building of team capability.
- Sound analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to manage a variety of complex tasks within tight times and constraints.
- Experience in dealing with complaints and disputes with excellent outcomes.
