Associate Director, Credit Analyst

**How will I help?**

The Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) is looking for an Associate Director or experienced Senior Associate to join our Asset Finance team within the Debt Products team of the Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB). Our team of specialists has extensive experience in arranging and structuring the complete suite of Asset Finance solutions for our customers, including residual value risk management.

This role will assist and build the team’s business footprint, revenue, relationships and product capability in our target markets and areas of accountability. You will primarily provide analytical and execution support for Asset Finance transactions for both existing and target WIB customers across a diverse set asset classes, geographies, and sectors such as aviation, shipping, natural resources, consumer & industrial, transportation, health, public sector, and sustainable finance.

You will also:

- Engage and influence credit, legal, relationship managers, pricing committee and other key stakeholders to ensure new transactions are successfully executed for our customers
- Prepare credit submissions for newly originated transactions with major CIB customers and targets which will often be structured, cross-border, bespoke or innovative in nature
- Assist in executing transactions through involvement in processes such as legal documentation, financial modelling / structuring, asset analysis, pricing approvals, and funding.
- Provide support to special projects and strategic initiatives in the wider team. Balance all of the above with a strong Risk Management approach.

**What do I need?**

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience as a credit analyst, ideally working with CIB lending products and using banking systems and processes.
- You will have strong analytical skills and background in credit writing and execution.
- You will be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills and be able build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will have strong teamwork skills and be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks and transactions simultaneously.
