What’s the job?

We’re seeking an Events Coordinator to play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering events across Torrens University.

Reporting into the National Events Manager, this is a hands-on role that contributes to both strategic planning and on-the-ground delivery. You’ll be involved in everything from graduations and industry events to Orientation, Open Days, and campus activations - ensuring each event runs smoothly and creates a memorable experience for students, staff, partners, and guests.

This position requires flexibility, excellent organisation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Availability for after-hours and weekend events, along with travel between campuses, is required.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

- Coordinate end-to-end event logistics including venues, suppliers, staffing, run sheets and pack down.
- Support the delivery of national and local events such as Open Days, Info Nights, Webinars, Orientation, and Welcome Weeks.
- Provide administrative and operational support for national graduation ceremonies.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Assist with pre-event promotion, guest management, registrations and post-event follow-up.
- Capture event attendance, feedback and outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement.

We are looking for
- Preferrable at least 3 years’ experience coordinating or supporting events in a multi-campus or fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting large-scale events such as graduations, orientations or corporate functions.
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- A proactive, service-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel nationally as required.

Why join us?

Bold, modern and agile, we’re Australia’s fastest-growing university, going from 164 students in 2014 to 40,000+ alumni across 115+ countries and 2000+ staff today.
