What’s the job?
Facilitators must work to ensure students are provided with the best opportunity to attain learning outcomes/competencies and satisfactorily complete their assessment tasks. Lecturers must participate in course review initiatives, including validation and moderation activities and are required to be available to provide student support outside of timetabled class hours.
Day-to-day accountabilities:
- Delivering lectures, workshops, practical classes and tutorials as specified by the Program Director and Course Coordinators- Participating in course review initiatives, moderation and course development as necessary- In collaboration with key staff, develop and delivering academic programs for students including orientation events, study skill development and other tutoring and mentoring initiatives;- Providing on-going student support
We are recruiting for multiple casual positions based primarily at our Flinders Street Campus in Melbourne for 10-20 hours per week with flexibility.
Who you are
To be successful in the Learning Facilitator role within Interior Design and Decoration you will have:
- At least an Advanced Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or a related field, and/or equivalent industry and professional experience- Experience in education / training and assessment or a willingness to undertake training while working in this role- Sound understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the field of Interior Design and Decoration- Demonstrated experience in coordinating groups in both face-to-face and online environments- Skills and experience working with all, or a selection of, the following tools and platforms:
- 3DS Max
- V-Ray for Sketchup
- Sketchup
- Autocad
- Manual drafting for interior spaces
- Revit
