A great opportunity now exists for a Partner Development Manager within our Cloud team.

**Job Purpose**:
The Partner Development Manager is an outbound sales specialist for the Cloud business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving a Sales target for Microsoft within Australia and other specific objectives in relation to quality, quantity and mix of sales activity.

You will work with the greater team to support and nurture and develop sales opportunities with existing Partners and enablement in consultation with the respective vendor(s) Tech Data Account Managers. You are also responsible for owning and managing a sales forecast for the Microsoft Cloud Business Unit.

**Responsibilities**:
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to do or demonstrate the following:

- Have a great hunger for sales development especially for net new partner growth
- Be able to engage with new partners to on-board them to Tech Data.
- Work with Business Unit Leaders, Business Managers, Vendor and Sales teams and internal sales specialists to analyse and profile the current Tech Data partner list pertinent to your area of expertise.
- Agree on a suitable engagement and enablement plan for those partners.
- Enable current partners of your assigned vendor/ business unit to broaden the offerings to their own customer base and upsell to existing customers.
- Recruit new partners for your assigned vendor by leveraging industry news, events and Tech Data recruitment campaigns/activities in face to face meetings.
- Assists the Business Manager and the Business Operations team to take ownership of large and complex opportunities where required with an aim to hand the order processing and delivery responsibility to the account management representatives.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- High School Certificate or equivalent
- Gained a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or 8 years relevant experience.
- Minimum 3+ year's Sales, Business Development, Product or Channel management in the IT industry.
- Proven ability in working with major IT Vendors and their sales representatives.
- A demonstrated capacity to ensure supply chain profitability.
- Ability to work autonomously, devise process and manage time and prioritisation.
- Superior communications skills and ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external customers/vendors.
- Commercially savvy.
- High level technical knowledge about MS is essential
