**About the role**

Supporting the Accounting & HR Manager, the Accounting Assistant is responsible for collecting and recording financial information in a timely and accurate manner to enable pro-active decision making. This includes ensuring financial entries and transactions are recorded correctly, reconciling credit card transactions, generating and distributing customer statements, assisting with managing timesheets and payroll function, prepare reports and perform ad hoc duties as directed by the Accounting & HR Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of Cert 4 in Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Experienced Xero user
- Understanding of accounting processes and procedures
- Advanced ability using and creating excel spreadsheets and data tables
- Excellent verbal and written skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Exceptional organisational skills and time management capabilities
- A proactive individual with a keen sense of initiative
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
