About the role

We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Austomation Technician to join our Maintenance team on night shift (10.30pm to 6.30am), supporting our state-of-the-art automated production environment to ensure optimal performance of our high-tech systems.

What you’ll be doing:
- Provide expert electrical support during night shift operations, ensuring productivity and uptime.- Troubleshoot and maintain complex electrical and automation systems, including PLCs and robotics.- Program, modify, and optimise PLC systems (Siemens S7 to support production efficiency.- Work with vision systems and machine learning tools to enhance quality control and automation accuracy.- Lead and mentor other electricians on shift, promoting skills development in new technologies.- Manage and update maintenance records using MEX CMMS.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions.

What you’ll bring:
- A Class Electrical Licence (mandatory)- Post-trade experience in electrical/electronic systems, automation, and robotics- Hands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and integration-
- Experience with CMMS (preferably MEX) and working in multi-skilled environments- Strong knowledge of electro/pneumatic machinery and preventative maintenance- Able to work autonomously or within a team with excellent communication skills- Willingness to work night shifts in a dynamic manufacturing environment- Continuous improvement and safety-first mindset, with a positive can-do attitude.
