**Your role**
- Lead the financial strategy and reporting function that supports high-level decision-making for the Women, Family and Community Safety directorate in NSW Department of Communities and Justice. In this senior role, you’ll manage complex projects, guide a high-performing team, and deliver expert financial insights to the Executive. Your work will directly contribute to aligning resources with the Directorate’s strategic priorities and driving impactful outcomes.

**What you’ll do**
- Leading the Strategic Reporting team, you’ll lead strategic reporting, financial planning and analysis to support executive decision-making and drive strategic outcomes. You’ll develop models, forecasts, and performance reports, manage budgets, and provide expert advice on financial impacts across services.
- You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside a skilled and supportive team of who value attention to detail and continuous improvement.
- In this role, you will:

- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based financial insights
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across DCJ and beyond
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team to achieve shared goals

**What we’re looking for**
- We’re seeking a finance professional with experience in accounting, audit, risk, or financial management, who can bring strategic insight and strong analytical skills to the team.

**Essential requirements**
- To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
- Full membership of a recognised professional accounting body
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
- A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
