We have an exciting new opportunity for a Pallet Controller to join our Opal Fibre Packaging team in Victoria. This role can be based at either our Scoresby or Brooklyn manufacturing site.

This is a critical role for our business responsible for managing and safeguarding our pallet assets. This role ensures accurate tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of pallets to support strategic decision-making, maintain healthy levels of asset stock on hand, support production plans and comply with regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with various departments to optimise asset utilisation, minimize risks, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Undertaking daily review & reconciliation of pallet accounts with the relevant pallet system
- Coordinating physical pallet stock takes at Opal operating sites
- Maintaining regular contact with relevant stakeholders and transport carriers on pallet movements
- Maintaining key KPI reporting for pallet account reconciliation and accuracy and pallet inventory levels across the region
- Developing and improving pallet management processes that allow for warehouse utilisation maximisation

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- At least 3 years supply chain and asset management experience in a large organisation with a high SKU and customer environment
- Good understanding of Pallet Management Best Practice and Technology
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to set direction and drive results
- Ability to negotiate and build relationships with internal and external parties and able to relate to individuals at all levels within the organisation
- A continuous improvement mindset; identifying areas for improvement and recommending new/modified processes
