Opal Cartons Australia works closely with our customers to produce innovative folding carton packaging for a wide range of markets. We have an exciting opportunity for a Carton Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join the team at our Laverton site.

The key focus of this role will be to:

- Provide leadership and project management for the set up and continuous management of the new Opal Cartons Victoria Hub
- Ensuring clear communication between relevant stakeholders in a project environment
- Implement and embed best practices for excellent operations of the Victoria Hub to ensure efficient inbound receiving and outbound delivery services at an optimal cost
- Engage and collaborate with 3PL team to ensure end to end operations meet cost budget
- Engage and collaborate with Customer Service team to process customer orders and deliver outstanding service performance (DIFOT)
- Responsible for stock accuracy and hygiene through regular stock review and cycle counting
- Ensure proper use of SAP and interface with 3PL to maintain all inventory movements
- Establish efficient end to end process and standards on both inbound and outbound shipping management.
- Ensuring optimal pallet supply levels, through oversight of Chep / Loscam or other pallet control processes and maintain accurate transaction.
- Responsible for the deployment of operation excellence for Opal Converting Group 3PLs, ensuring the delivery of operational excellence across sites

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

- At least 5 years relevant and successful operational experience in a leadership role in warehouse and transport management
- Experience working with and overseeing 3PL providers on-site and remotely
- Experience in upholding and ensuring adherence to WH&S policies, procedures and practices, using management systems
- A background in fostering strong ongoing internal and external relationships in a warehousing/ logistics environment
- Experience in establishing fair and cost-effective KPIs to promote optimization
- A firm understanding of and experience in using SAP systems
- Experience in the management of relevant projects such as: implementing warehouse processes, standards and best practices, distribution network redesign, high performance logistics, customer logistics and transport
