Safety Business Partner

**About The Role**:
The **Safety Business Partner**plays a pivotal role in leading and influencing safety initiatives, building strong relationships, and supporting the **ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company)** business to drive positive safety outcomes across multiple locations.

This role is based out of our **Hemmant** branch and involves travel across the region to connect with our teams and foster a culture of safety.

The key focus is to lead the implementation of ARC’s integrated safety business model, driving critical safety processes, building a proactive and interdependent safety culture, influencing key stakeholders, and championing continuous improvement across our substantial QLD branch network.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver work health and safety strategy in line with the ARC business model
- Coach and support our branch and operational leaders across our network
- Contribute to enhancing health and safety performance and address incident trends.
- Lead incident investigations, identify hazards, and conduct risk assessments.
- Assist line leaders in the effective implementation and communication of the GFG health and safety policy, standards, programs, and procedures.
- Ensure that safety systems within the business unit comply with local legislation.
- Conduct audits of business processes associated with inherently high-risk activities.
- Support introducing new health and safety initiatives through delivering training sessions, predominantly face-to-face.

**Additionally, you will have**:

- Certificate 4, Diploma or Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety.
- Proven experience in WH&S within an operational environment.
- Expertise in conducting risk assessments and leading incident investigations.
- Technical knowledge of WH&S business mode integration
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- An innovative and creative approach to safety with a proactive attitude.
- Commitment to safety compliance.
- Experience in engagement with staff at all levels to modify behaviours in safety
