What you'll Do
We are recruitment for a Business Development Manager to lead our growth strategy in Queensland and Western Australia. As our Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for the full business development lifecycle—from identifying opportunities and building relationships, through to launching and executing new services, and transitioning them to operations. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping Americold's strategic direction and delivering sustained top-line growth.
- Lead business development initiatives across QLD & WA
- Develop and execute sales strategies, pricing models, and resource plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and Blue Chip customers.
- Oversee contract negotiations and pricing approvals.
- Monitor KPIs, forecasts, and quarterly plans to ensure revenue targets are met.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align business priorities and ensure operational excellence
What Experience and Education You Need
- Proven track record of 5–7+ years in business development within 3PL, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or FMCG sectors, with measurable revenue growth outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in managing international freight forwarding and import/export operations, including launching cross-border initiatives.
- Established industry network and deep knowledge of processors, wholesalers, brokers, and retailers, with evidence of strategic partnerships or account wins.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA highly regarded for strategic leadership capability.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, evidenced by successful contract closures and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
- Strong financial acumen, including pricing strategy development, forecasting, and budget management aligned to business growth targets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms such as Salesforce, with examples of data-driven sales reporting or pipeline management.
